As Apple preps for the iPhone 8, wireless charging option seems more likely

A simple upgrade that Android smartphone users have enjoyed for years may finally be coming to the iPhone: wireless charging.

The technology would allow iPhone owners to simply lay their devices on a charging pad – something that’s also been embedded in furniture and vehicles – to recharge. Wireless charging hardware possibly related to the next iPhone has been shown in a series of photographs published by Chinese blog site Weibo.

As New Turnaround King, Is HP Better Than Apple?

HP is the new turnaround king — but is it better than Apple? On Aug. 23, Microsoft released Windows 10 Fall Creators Update Build 16273. This late beta doesn’t introduce new features. For most of us, the automatic answer is no, but the reality of social media isn’t too far off. Some platforms like Facebook rely on targeted advertising to keep the lights on, and to keep the service free for the public to use.

You might argue that it’s a small price to pay for the ability to connect to practically anyone in the world, and sure, advertising in and of itself is not inherently bad. But when advertising crosses the line into invasion of privacy, consumers have to ask hard questions about what personal data they’re giving away.

The definitive guide to privacy settings in Windows 10 Creators Update

Privacy Matters
1 khanom original

Privacy means different things to different people; there’s no one-size-fits approach. Some people want to lock their machines down so they leak exactly nothing. Others figure they don’t have anything to hide, and happily share various and sundry bits of information with their Internet Service Providers, operating system manufacturers and the NSA.
